Narrative description of Project:

Beyondsolutions core team developed a comprehensive Provincial Information Management Support System (PIMSS) for the Government of Afghanistan. PIMSS is an integrated platform designed to streamline asset management and data collection processes across various provincial government departments.

Key System Components:

  • PIMSS Web Application: A central web-based platform for managing assets and project data, including asset details, ownership records, and maintenance schedules.
  • PIMSS Online GIS Application: A web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) integrated with PIMSS, enabling users to visualize assets/project locations on a map.
  • PIMSS Mobile Application: A native mobile application designed for surveyors to collect and verify assets/project data in the field.

Mobile App Functionalities:

  • Task Management: Surveyors access assigned tasks through a mobile interface, ensuring efficient task completion.
  • Geolocation and Mapping: The app displays assigned locations on a map, guiding surveyors to the correct project sites.
  • Automatic Geo-tagging: Captured photos are automatically tagged with GPS coordinates, ensuring data accuracy and location verification.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Surveyors can record detailed information about each asset/project directly through the mobile interface, including text data, geo-tagged images, and project status updates.

Project Impact:

The PIMSS mobile application plays a critical role in ensuring data accuracy within the overall PIMSS system.
