Irrigation Restoration & Development Project-IRDP World Bank was five years project within Ministry of Energy and Water -MoEW. Working in six regions of Afghanistan (Regions are defined as per the river basin in the country) for the development of the irrigation systems, construction of dams and setting up of hydrological station at all the major rivers.
Key Functionalities of IMIS:
- Project Management: The system streamlines project management across all four components of the IRDP, providing a centralized platform for monitoring progress and resource allocation.
- Procurement Management: IMIS facilitates all procurement activities, from bid document preparation and contract award to managing amendments and vendor payments.
- Financial Management: The system efficiently manages financial operations, including staff salaries, asset inventory, and vendor payments.
- Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): A powerful dynamic survey tool empowers data collection for M&E purposes, enabling the project to track progress, identify challenges, and measure impact.
- Reporting: The IMIS offers comprehensive reporting functionalities, including both pre-defined fixed reports and the ability to generate ad-hoc reports to meet specific needs.
- Online GIS Module: The integrated GIS module provides senior management with a powerful visual analytics tool to perform complex spatial analysis of IRDP activities, facilitating informed decision-making.
